Pastor Scott
Young
serves as the Senior Pastor of The Church of Hope. Beginning in
1996 with a handful of people and a vision from God, he has seen
the church family grow to over 1000 people, with new families
added on a weekly basis. His ministry seeks to teach the Word of
God, and to lead the congregation to worship in spirit and in
truth. He is known for his love of life, laughter, and
chocolate.
Pastor Scott is also involved in television ministry where he
hosts the Church of Hope weekly program, “Hope for Living.”
He also serves on the Florida District Leadership Board for 350
churches as a Presbyter who oversees sixteen churches in the
Sarasota area.
His wife, Darla, is actively involved in the life of the Church
of Hope as she can be seen singing in the choir, greeting folks
in the hallways, and assisting families in the nursery and
pre-school ministries.
Pastor Scott loves his wife, Darla and is crazy about his kids,
Mandy, Holly, Charity, and Jesse. Every day he looks forward to
a new adventure living for the one he loves the most – Jesus.
